Client: Conifer Realty, LLC
Project Type: Multi-Family
Completed: Fall 2020
Engineers: Matt Tomlinson
Project Description:
Conifer-LeChase, in partnership with the Veterans Outreach Center (VOC), developed a four-story building containing 33 apartments (27 1-bedroom & 6 2-bedroom) at the corner of Delevan Street, Scio Street, and University Avenue in the City of Rochester. Veterans, especially those with special needs, were given priority as tenants as a permanent independent living component to the VOC’s veteran housing initiative.

The project is just under one acre in the CCD-G- Center City Grove Place District. Several design iterations were worked through with the City of Rochester during the approval process, taking into account: three street frontages, School 58’s historic building status across the street, and site contamination of soils that needed to be mitigated. We worked closely with the neighborhood group, city staff and the design team to create a welcoming urban home that complements the Grove Place Neighborhood and revitalized a vacant parcel within the City of Rochester.
